Why caravan dust is different
A sealed-up cabin traps whatever dust was already inside when it was last used, and every gap around a window seal, vent or door lets in a fine layer from outside over weeks of storage. It's not the same as a car interior, which gets used and aired out daily — a caravan interior sits static far longer between cleans.
The corners people miss
Roof vents and overhead lockers collect a surprising amount, since they're rarely opened between trips. Cupboard tracks and drawer runners trap it too, and it's easy to vacuum the floor and cushions while never touching either.
Underneath seat cushions is another one — dust and crumbs work their way down the sides and settle on the base, out of sight until the cushion's actually lifted.
Wiping down, not just vacuuming
A vacuum handles loose dust on flat surfaces, but it doesn't touch what's settled into cabinetry finishes, window tracks or behind fittings — that needs an actual wipe-down with the right product for the surface, not just suction.
This is really the difference between a quick tidy and a proper interior detail: one lifts what's visible, the other goes through every surface a closed-up cabin actually collects dust on.
